About the position

The Freelance Senior Copywriter at Boundless Life Sciences Group is responsible for creating compelling promotional content for healthcare brands, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector. This role requires a strong ability to translate complex scientific information into accessible language for various audiences. The position involves managing multiple projects, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring adherence to brand standards and regulatory guidelines while working remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects with support of supervisor
  • Own copy development across multiple channels from start to finish
  • Maintain consistency of language from one project to the next and collaborate with brand leads, editorial, and other writers on the brand to ensure overall consistency of language, messages, references, etc
  • Demonstrate deep brand and subject matter expertise: know the data, claims, core references, competitors, customers, and strategy associated with your brand
  • Proficient in referencing and annotations
  • Work closely with editors to ensure copy documents adhere to approved promotional claims, brand standards, and FDA promotional guidance
  • Versed in creating content for digital and social (keyword optimization, latest SEM updates, social media character count and appropriate tone of voice)
  • Understand how content strategy, key performance indicators, and analytics inform creative solutions and apply insights when developing tactics
  • Adhere to agency process
  • Attend client meetings, actively listen, add value to discussions, and effectively presenting ideas
  • Demonstrate poise and open-mindedness when receiving feedback and learn to effectively incorporate input while maintaining the integrity of an idea
  • Participate in concepting assignments and new business when asked
  • Willing to work late and possibly on weekends to meet deadlines when needed

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience as a copywriter in healthcare advertising
  • A portfolio of work that showcases conceptual and copywriting capabilities
  • Proven creative, technical, and scientific aptitude
  • Familiar with AMA style
  • Strong annotation and referencing skills
  • Experience with medical, legal, regulatory bodies in the healthcare industry
  • Experience writing for digital and non-digital channels
  • Firm grasp of drug/device approval process and promotional guidelines
  • Strong verbal and written storytelling skills
  • High learning agility
  • Highly responsible, collaborative, and self-motivated
  • Positive and solution-oriented
