About the position

The Freelance Social Media Strategist at Saatchi & Saatchi is responsible for the operational success of paid social campaign activations, specifically for automotive clients across the US. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop and execute innovative social media strategies, ensuring that campaigns meet client objectives and benchmarks. The position requires a strong understanding of social media platforms and advertising capabilities, as well as excellent project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary day-to-day client contact, supporting all client business needs and meeting objectives month over month.
  • Work with planning and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.
  • Develop strategic paid social media recommendations outlining platform recommendations, implementation details, success measurement, and timelines.
  • Place social media advertising campaigns across various platforms based on approved strategies.
  • Utilize advanced targeting strategies to execute complex campaigns effectively.
  • Optimize campaign buys to ensure effective budget spending each month.
  • Develop in-depth campaign reports in partnership with the analytics team, outlining insights on media delivery and engagement.
  • Monitor clients' social media channels and engage with audiences based on established guidelines.
  • Monitor clients' automotive reputation profiles and respond to client feedback.
  • Meet with client contacts to review reputation performance and consult on social media strategies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience, with a minimum of 2 years in paid social advertising.
  • Proficiency with Meta, Reddit, X, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Snapchat, including a clear understanding of each platform's features and advertising capabilities.
  • Experience with Business Manager and Ad Manager dashboards for ad placement and budget management.
  • Experience handling large media budgets and developing insights based on campaign results.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and campaigns.
  • Experience with campaign tracking and efficiency tools like Sprinklr, Adobe Analytics, Asana, Google Workspace, and Monday.com.
  • Facebook Blueprint Media Buying Certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and deductive skills, with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with retail and/or automotive industries is strongly preferred.
