About The Position

The Freelance Video Producer/Writer II role is a hybrid position based in Chicago, requiring the candidate to work on-site three times a month. This position is crucial for producing high-quality video content, overseeing the entire production process from concept development to the final product. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in video production and storytelling, capable of bringing innovative ideas to life through effective visuals and compelling narratives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in video production and content creation.
  • Strong skills in video filming, editing, and pre-production processes.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly Premiere, AfterEffects, and Photoshop.
  • Experience in scriptwriting and storyboarding.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage crew logistics including talent booking and scheduling.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the internal production team to develop video concepts and scripts.
  • Oversee the video production process including filming, editing, and post-production.
  • Coordinate with talent, crew, and graphics team to ensure smooth production logistics.
  • Conduct pre-production planning including scheduling, location scouting, and equipment needs.
  • Direct shoots and manage the creative process on set to ensure the vision is executed as planned.
  • Create engaging storyboards to visualize the narrative and flow of video content.
  • Edit video content using Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, AfterEffects, and Photoshop.
  • Produce sizzle reels and training videos that meet client specifications.
  • Travel as needed to various locations for shoots.
