About the position

MediaLab is seeking a creative and energetic Freelance Videographer and Video Editor to work independently on various projects, primarily focusing on creating video content for social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. The role involves both shooting and editing video content, requiring a strong understanding of video production techniques and software.

Responsibilities

• Use a Digital SLR camera, tripod, lighting, and other professional photographic equipment to execute photography and video productions.
• Understand and apply technical aspects of photography and videography including aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, and frame rates.
• Utilize Adobe suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) to edit videos for social media and YouTube.
• Produce studio photography for products, including e-commerce photography with white backgrounds.
• Set up and produce time lapses for various projects.
• Manage, secure, and organize cameras, lenses, lights, and other studio equipment.
• Multi-task and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
• Arrive early to set up for photo/video shoots and work flexible hours as needed.
• Travel to various locations for shoots, requiring a reliable automobile and clean driving record.

Requirements

• 1 year of professional photo or video experience required.
• 2 years of professional video editing experience required.
• Experience with Adobe After Effects for at least 1 year is required.
• Demonstrated design experience and an excellent eye for visual communications.

Nice-to-haves

• Part 107 Drone Certification highly desirable.
• Experience with Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
