About the position

The position is for a freelance Interior Designer/Space Planner specializing in educational furnishings. The role involves designing innovative educational spaces, preparing detailed drawings and renderings, and generating parts lists based on client requirements. The designer will work remotely and will receive training on specialized CAD software provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• Design a variety of cutting-edge educational spaces.
• Prepare drawings and renderings for client projects.
• Generate parts lists based on project requirements.
• Create marketing images and draft custom or built-in solutions as needed.
• Research educational design trends and explore new design technologies.
• Participate in industry, product, and design events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
• NCIDQ certification preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in educational and commercial furnishings.
• Advanced skills in CAD software, preferably AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with 2020, Project Matrix, or CET software.
• Strong understanding of educational design trends.
