About the position

The Account Manager position at Go2 Logistics involves managing client accounts, driving sales, and generating leads within the freight and transportation industry. The role requires a strong background in sales, logistics, and transportation, focusing on building relationships with customers and ensuring efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Create relationships with existing customers and carrier network
  • Prospecting for potential new accounts
  • Sourcing new carrier contacts to secure efficient and cost-effective solutions for customer needs
  • Negotiating vendor contracts with a focus on profitability and service deadlines
  • Vetting carriers to ensure vendors are compliant
  • Track and trace customer orders for on-time pickups and deliveries
  • General customer service requests including document retrieval and timely email/phone call responses

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry
  • Familiarity with freight operations, including NVOCC processes and 3PL services
  • Strong track record in achieving sales targets and building long-term client relationships
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and resolve conflicts
  • Proficiency in data entry tasks and CRM software for accurate record keeping
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines consistently
