About the position

The Freight Crew Associate is responsible for providing a pleasant and efficient experience for guests at Yoke's Fresh Market during the graveyard shift. This role involves preparing the store, engaging with guests, and ensuring exceptional service while promoting sales and company growth. Associates are expected to uphold the company's core values and contribute positively to the team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the store and engage guests to provide exceptional service.
• Promote sales through active discussions with guests and offering product recommendations.
• Unload freight from trucks and organize products for stocking.
• Fill shelves, face products, and maintain cleanliness in work areas.
• Mentor new associates and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Communicate and complete special order requests accurately and timely.
• Participate in safety programs and monitor for hazards in the store.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Mathematical skills for handling money and measurements.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

• Experience in retail or customer service roles.
• Familiarity with grocery store operations and safety protocols.
