As a Freight Forwarder Assistant at DSV, you will play a crucial role in supporting the freight forwarding team by handling various administrative and operational tasks. You will also be responsible for entering shipment data into our computer systems, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date. In addition to documentation and data entry, you will communicate with customers, carriers, and third-party service providers to coordinate and track shipments effectively. Providing administrative support to the freight forwarding team is a key aspect of this role, which includes answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining organized filing systems. You will also assist with billing and invoicing processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs regulations and trade laws. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to work well under pressure, as you will be managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists

Requirements

  • Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in air exports is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations
  • Understanding of trade laws and regulations
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with logistics software and systems is preferred
