About the position
The Freight Forwarder Operations & Customer Service role at Mascot International Logistics Inc. involves assisting with the operations and logistics department, managing international freight shipments, and ensuring timely delivery to clients. The position requires effective communication with clients and coordination with various stakeholders to resolve shipment issues and maintain compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Operations and Logistical department
- Handle shipment scheduling, planning, updating and shipment tracking
- Organize and oversee international freight shipments from start to finish
- Coordinate transportation delivery logistics with overseas suppliers, domestic trucking companies and warehouses, and international shipping carriers
- Update clients on shipment schedule/status as needed
- Perform filing and data entry along with other paperwork duties
- Collaborate with other company departments to ensure timely shipping
- Handle customer service issues such as researching and resolving shipment discrepancies, damages or product quality issues
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with Customs/import/export regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned to accomplish company or department objectives.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in Operations (preferred)
- 1 year of experience in Logistics (preferred)
- Bilingual in Mandarin (spoken, reading and writing highly preferred)
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Detail-oriented and organized with a high level of accuracy and precision
- Dependable and reliable
- Adaptable and flexible in a high-pressure environment
- Professional communication skills, particularly with telephone and email
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and follow up without reminders
- Willingness to learn
