About the position

As a Freight Handler at Walmart Supply Chain, you will play a critical role in moving products through our distribution network to the stores, ensuring that our customers receive the products they expect at an everyday low price. This position is essential in maintaining the flow of freight, which is fast-paced and requires a high level of productivity. You can expect the work to be physically demanding, involving lifting heavy cases in extreme climates. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to focus on your safety and the safety of others while performing your duties. The role involves not only the physical handling of freight but also clerical and administrative support tasks. You will be responsible for generating and maintaining forms, reports, and logs using computerized management software. This includes performing weekly inventory checks, tracking financial transactions, and communicating with suppliers regarding equipment warranties. Your clerical duties will also involve filing, data entry, and extracting data from multiple systems, requiring proficiency in computer applications such as email, spreadsheets, and word processing software like Microsoft Office. Attention to detail and accuracy will be critical in this role, as you will be expected to comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. In addition to the physical and clerical responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to work in various clerical positions, such as Service Shop Clerks, Quality Assurance Clerks, Administration Assistants, and Human Resources Clerks. This diversity in roles allows for a dynamic work environment where you can develop a range of skills and contribute to the overall efficiency of the supply chain operations.

Responsibilities
