About the position

As a Freight Handler at Walmart Supply Chain, you will play a critical role in moving products through our distribution network to the stores, ensuring that our customers receive the products they expect at an everyday low price. This position is essential in maintaining the flow of freight, which is fast-paced and requires a high level of productivity. You can expect the work to be physically demanding, involving lifting heavy cases in extreme climates, and there will be a strong emphasis on safety for yourself and your colleagues. Your role will directly impact the efficiency of our supply chain and the satisfaction of our customers. In addition to the physical demands, you will also be responsible for various clerical and administrative tasks. This includes generating and maintaining forms, reports, and logs using computerized management software, performing weekly inventory checks, and tracking financial transactions. You will communicate with suppliers regarding equipment warranties and perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and extracting data from multiple systems. Proficiency in computer applications, including email, spreadsheets, and word processing, is required, and attention to detail will be critical in ensuring accuracy in your work.
