About the position

The Freight Operations Coordinator at Generac is responsible for managing the logistics of freight operations over weekends, ensuring efficient shipment processing and communication with drivers and carriers. This role involves auditing shipment information, creating commercial invoices, and maintaining accurate records in SAP, all while providing excellent customer service during pickups.

Responsibilities

• Audit information to ensure that trailer shipments and paperwork match what is in SAP.
• Review shipments in a Load Start status to ensure tracking numbers are assigned.
• Contact carriers for LTL/FTL shipments regarding potential damage and schedule pickups as needed.
• Provide tracking information for OFS/Sales and research missing tracking numbers.
• Create commercial invoices for international shipments.
• Verify driver's loads based on provided information and credentials.
• Greet drivers and assign them to dock doors.
• PGI shipments and update shipping schedules in Smartsheet.
• Review BOLs for accuracy including trailer and seal numbers.
• Conduct final verification of completeness for managed customer requirements.
• Interact with customers during scheduled pickups and file BOLs and paperwork.
• Manage PECO pallets via the PECO website and update MDI charts.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in a shipping environment.
• 1-3 years working within an enterprise software system (preferably SAP).
