About the position

The Freight/Receiving position is essential for ensuring that the store is well-stocked and prepared for daily operations. Associates in this role are responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving materials throughout the store, and maintaining accurate inventory and pricing. This position may involve direct customer interaction, requiring strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Move materials from the receiving area to various locations within the store.
• Operate forklifts as needed for material handling.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and pricing accuracy for customers.
• Provide excellent customer service during direct interactions.

Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks.
• Strong customer service skills for direct interactions with customers.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and pricing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
