About the position
L'Alliance Française de Milwaukee is seeking a qualified French Teacher to join their team. This part-time position focuses on teaching French to children in both group and individual settings, emphasizing in-person instruction. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting French culture and language, and will work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach French to children in group and individual settings.
- Ensure classes are conducted in-person at the Shorewood facilities.
- Manage a classroom of children effectively.
- Develop rapport with colleagues, learners, and parents.
- Communicate effectively and concisely with students and parents.
Requirements
- Native French speaker or proficient in oral and written French.
- Experience teaching French as a foreign language (FLE) to children.
- Ability to conduct in-person classes.
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, and creative teaching style.
- Effective classroom management skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience teaching children, adolescents, or adults.
- Degree in French as a Foreign Language (Master FLE, DAEFLE, or equivalent) or as a school teacher.
