About the position

The Fresh Cut Flower Buyer / Production Manager at Native Floral Group is responsible for overseeing the procurement and production processes of fresh cut flower bouquets. This role involves collaborating with the management team to assess flower needs, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the quality and presentation of floral products. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills to motivate teams and maintain high customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Determine flower needs to complete planned orders in collaboration with the management team.
• Work with current vendors to obtain necessary flowers for production.
• Manage the production process, ensuring quality, presentation, and value of flower bouquets and arrangements.
• Oversee inventory control and ensure efficient operations within the production team.
• Communicate effectively with team members at all levels to drive performance improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a buyer or production management role.
• Bilingual in Spanish is required.
• Knowledge of perishable products preferred; floral experience is highly desirable.
• Prior inventory control experience is essential.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service focus and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Strong computer skills with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook).
