About the position

The Fresh Cut Lead is responsible for supervising the Fresh Cut section in accordance with company standards, ensuring high-quality customer service and product preparation. This role involves managing personnel, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Fresh Cut section according to company standards.
  • Champion customer service programs to meet or exceed division goals.
  • Handle customer relations and resolve complaints positively.
  • Promote personalized service in the Fresh Cut area.
  • Supervise, motivate, train, and participate in hiring Fresh Cut personnel.
  • Monitor associate performance and recommend personnel actions.
  • Schedule Fresh Cut personnel in alignment with allotted hours.
  • Prepare fresh fruits, vegetables, and salads for the Fresh Cut area.
  • Ensure quality, freshness, selection, and adequate quantity of products.
  • Set up, maintain, and close the Fresh Cut area according to procedures.
  • Stock, date, and rotate Fresh Cut products while controlling shrink and costs.
  • Order, receive, check, and control inventory for quality and freshness.
  • Implement correct product preparation techniques.
  • Use and operate related equipment such as slicers and food processors.
  • Comply with all food and workplace safety rules and regulations.
  • Verify pricing accuracy and display signs.
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and sanitation of work area and equipment.
  • Assist customers and engage in suggestive selling.
  • Perform all job duties safely, accurately, and with integrity.

Requirements

  • Supervisory experience in a retail or food service environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to train and motivate staff effectively.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to handle complaints.
  • Experience with inventory management and product preparation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a Fresh Cut or similar department.
  • Familiarity with food preparation equipment and techniques.
