About The Position

The Fresh Foods Department Manager at WinCo Foods is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Fresh Foods Department, ensuring high standards of customer service, product quality, and operational efficiency. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and meeting sales goals while fostering a positive work environment and adhering to company policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handlers Certification (Per State Laws).
• Ability to provide leadership through communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct visual inspections and read reports.
• Basic math skills for computing weights and measures.
• Supervisory skills including interviewing, scheduling, and training.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees by motivating, training, and participating in the hiring process.
• Maintains an atmosphere of fast, friendly, courteous customer service.
• Meets departmental sales and gross margin objectives through effective promotional displays and cost control.
• Ensures product quality and freshness by managing inventory and preventing the sale of outdated products.
• Organizes and maintains required record keeping, including COOL records.
• Reconciles invoice pricing totals with retail pricing guides and notifies management of discrepancies.
• Maintains current product information and knowledge of all products available for sale.
• Performs all job duties with honesty and integrity, meeting labor targeted goals.
