About the position

The Fresh Pack Coordinator is responsible for ensuring efficient customer service and maintaining a positive work environment in the produce department. This role involves assisting the produce manager with various tasks related to ordering, receiving, and displaying fresh produce, while adhering to food safety policies and maintaining product quality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times.
• Maintain a positive attitude and create a friendly atmosphere through teamwork.
• Greet and speak to customers, providing prompt and efficient service.
• Assist the produce manager in ordering, receiving, and displaying products.
• Rotate merchandise to ensure freshness and quality.
• Set up and maintain cut vegetable and fruit sections, trim corn, and package salad tomatoes as directed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety policies and procedures.
• Order supplies as directed by the produce manager.
• Assist in training fresh pack associates as directed by the produce manager.
• Maintain quality and freshness of all fresh pack products.
• Ensure proper labeling of items requiring a COOL label.
• Enforce and maintain the company food safety program.
• Trim and package fresh produce.
• Keep workstation and surrounding area neat and clean.
• Sanitize and clean the department at least twice a day.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company policies.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks with constant interaction with various individuals.
