About the position

The Front and Back Office Assistant position is designed for a versatile Dental Practice Assistant who will enhance the patient experience through proactive engagement and strong communication skills. This role involves a combination of front office and back office responsibilities, emphasizing professionalism, compassionate patient care, and teamwork within a dental practice.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients as they arrive and ensure their comfort while they wait.
• Manage patient scheduling, check-ins, and check-outs.
• Handle patient inquiries, both on the phone and in-person.
• Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations.
• Manage billing and payment processes.
• Assist dental professionals in preparing for procedures.
• Clean and sterilize dental instruments.
• Prepare and set up treatment rooms.
• Assist in patient management during dental procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including sanitation and sterilization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental Assistant Certification is preferred.
• Prior experience in a dental practice is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of dental software, Microsoft Office, and basic office equipment.
• Able to maintain a professional and organized environment.
• Must have reliable transportation to commute between Palmdale and Valencia locations (occasionally).
