About the position
The Back Office Medical Receptionist position at North Texas Triangle Gastroenterology involves providing comprehensive care to patients with gastrointestinal conditions. The role requires maintaining accurate electronic medical records, assisting in patient consultations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment plans. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic medical records of patient assessments, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Assist Dr. Quan in reviewing patient history and ordering relevant diagnostic tests or medications.
- Collaborate with Dr. Quan to develop treatment plans for patients with various GI disorders.
- Ensure the schedule runs smoothly and on time as much as possible.
- Prescribe and manage medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment plans as necessary after consulting with Dr. Quan.
- Work closely with the team, including in-office and remote staff.
- Stay current with advancements in GI health through ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-5 years of past experience working in the healthcare field.
- Past medical insurance knowledge preferred but not required.
- Ability to show up as promised and remain on the team long-term.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficient in the use of electronic health records system.
