About the position

The Administrative Assistant/Front Desk position at Plymouth Arts Center is a part-time role focused on providing excellent customer service and supporting daily clerical duties. The individual will be the first point of contact for visitors and volunteers, contributing to the organization's mission of enriching community lives through diverse arts programming. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in social media management, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily clerical duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and volunteers.
  • Compose and proofread correspondence, reports, and materials using correct grammar and vocabulary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate knowledge of PAC's mission and programming.
  • Manage social media content creation, editing, publishing, and sharing.
  • Communicate with the Executive Director and Education Coordinator about upcoming events and classes.
  • Set up and break down for events, ensuring all materials are prepared and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of related administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with the public.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, and MailChimp.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs repetitively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service (3 years preferred).
  • Experience in social media management (2 years preferred).
