About the position

The Front Desk Agent/Night Audit position at La Quinta Inn & Suites involves greeting and registering guests, providing exceptional customer service throughout their stay, and managing guest accounts upon check-out. Responsibilities

  • Greet and register guests upon arrival.
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously.
  • Manage reservations, including making and modifying bookings.
  • Provide concierge services and assist guests with inquiries about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard and ensure compliance with brand standards.
  • Deliver guest items such as luggage and messages as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure overall cleanliness of the hotel.
  • Assist in emergency procedures as required.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive demeanor.
  • Basic arithmetic skills for handling financial information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous hotel experience is preferred.
