About the position

The Front Desk Agent at Hampton Inn & Suites Alachua is responsible for being the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service, and managing front desk operations efficiently. This role is crucial in creating memorable experiences for guests while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and handling various administrative tasks related to guest services.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Handle check-in and check-out processes smoothly and efficiently.
• Manage reservations, including modifications and cancellations, using hotel management software.
• Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities to enhance guest experience.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions.
• Assist with night audit duties as required, ensuring all financial transactions are balanced and reported accurately.
• Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when answering calls and responding to inquiries.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are ready for occupancy.

Requirements

• Previous experience in guest relations or customer service is preferred, particularly in a hotel or resort setting.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
• Familiarity with hotel management systems is a plus.
• Multilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to diverse guests.
