About the position

The Front Desk Agent at Hampton Inn by Hilton Hallandale Beach is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming and efficient check-in and check-out process. This role involves handling guest requests, managing reservations, and adhering to hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and register guests into the hotel, fulfilling requests and adhering to established security and credit policies.
  • Check guests in and out of the hotel, process payments, and post charges to guest accounts.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions, count the cash bank at the beginning and end of shifts, and complete designated reports.
  • Accept, change, and cancel hotel reservations using the computer system.
  • Prepare daily reports and handle hotel emergency situations according to guidelines.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of prior hotel or hotel front desk experience preferred.
  • Flexible schedule availability, required to work day, night, and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to multitask and handle stress during busy periods.
  • Good near and far vision, including the ability to read and interpret written instructions/directions.
  • Effective communication skills with guests and co-workers.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ year of Hilton OnQ experience preferred.
