About the position

The Front Desk Agent at Hawthorn Suites By Wyndham is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role requires a reliable and dedicated individual with previous hotel experience to handle guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and maintain the front desk operations efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and serve guests in a friendly manner.
  • Handle calls, screen and transfer calls to the appropriate person.
  • Process all reservations, cancellations, registrations, departures, and other guest requests.
  • Balance room inventory and verify advance purchase and commissionable stays daily.
  • Promote Rewards Club and follow brand standards for Rewards Club guests.
  • Respond to and help solve guest complaints/issues in a professional manner.
  • Provide reliable information regarding hotel features and the local area.
  • Read the front desk log at the beginning of the shift and communicate important information to other hotel staff.
  • Receive packages, faxes, and messages for guests, following appropriate hotel security procedures.
  • Confirm guest arrivals before accepting packages or messages.
  • Maintain electronic key card issuance and system.
  • Knowledgeable of all current emergency policies and procedures.
  • Follow and complete all duties as stated on the daily shift checklist.

Requirements

  • 1 year of hotel front desk experience required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
  • Knowledge of hotel features and local area.
