About the position

The Front Desk Assistant/Receptionist at Post Falls Quality Inn is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests, managing front desk operations, and handling accounting tasks. This role involves checking guests in and out, processing payments, and ensuring guest satisfaction while maintaining the front desk's efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Check guests into and out of the hotel accurately and courteously.
  • Handle guest requests and inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Process payments received, whether cash or credit card.
  • Distribute hotel keys to guests while maintaining privacy.
  • Run night audit reports properly and ensure all accounts are reconciled.
  • Prepare complimentary breakfast for guests as needed.
  • Ensure cleaning tasks are completed properly and on time.
  • Represent and promote the property positively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Front Desk Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience with accounting and facilities management software.
  • Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability to work overnight shifts.

Nice-to-haves

  • BA in accounting, finance, or a relevant field preferred but not required.
