About the position

The Front Desk Associate at Planet Fitness is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and fostering a welcoming environment for members. This role involves managing multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring member satisfaction and promoting the company's mission and values. The associate will handle member interactions, manage phone calls, and maintain the cleanliness of the facility, all while delivering a high level of service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and exit members in a confident, professional, and friendly manner.
• Anticipate member's needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all members.
• Provide gracious and efficient telephone service, ensuring complete and accurate information.
• Utilize strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve customer concerns.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the club for up to 50% of the shift.
• Deliver prompt, efficient customer service while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Accept payments from customers and provide change and receipts.
• Drive revenue by communicating and demonstrating benefits of products and special promotions to customers.
• Answer customers' questions and provide information regarding business procedures and policies.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Six months face-to-face customer service experience in a retail environment required.
• One year of fitness experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Solid work ethic with strong decision-making and problem resolution skills.
• Self-starter who takes initiative with minimal direction and supervision.
• Comfortable working a flexible rotating schedule.
• Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the fitness industry is preferred.
