About the position

The Front Desk Clerk / Receptionist (Part-Time) at Atlanta Technical College is responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support at the South campus. This role involves greeting visitors, managing phone calls, and performing clerical tasks to ensure smooth operations within the Dual Achievement division. The position is part-time, with a maximum of twenty-nine hours per week, and requires effective communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operating a multi-line telephone console to relay incoming and outgoing calls.
  • Greeting visitors and providing information or directing them to the appropriate office or individual.
  • Operating office machines and computers for filing, copying, data entry, and maintaining logs.
  • Providing clerical support such as typing, filing, ordering supplies, and sorting data and mail.
  • Assisting with the coordination of special events on campus, including open houses, orientations, graduation activities, and recruitment events.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills in customer service.
  • Skills in the use of computers and job-related software.
  • Skills in oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to operate workroom machinery such as fax machines, copiers, scanners, and shredders.

Benefits

  • $18.00 per hour salary
  • Part-time work schedule up to 29 hours per week
