About the position

Dreaming about being around dogs all day? If yes, we are excited for you to come meet our pack! We are a brand new dog boarding, daycare, and grooming facility located by Hobby Airport. We are looking for dog lovers like you to help our pups have the time of their lives while they are with us. The Front Desk Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that both our furry guests and their pet parents have a wonderful experience at our facility. This position involves a variety of tasks including dog care, data entry, scheduling and confirming appointments/reservations, and greeting all pet parents and dogs. You will also be responsible for selling baths/packages, handling administrative tasks such as filing and managing client information, and answering pet parent questions both via phone and in person. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness in both the front and back areas of the facility is essential, as is preparing dog meals and providing excellent customer service. This position will also be eligible for our monthly goal-based bonuses, providing an opportunity for additional earnings based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting all pet parents and dogs.
  • Checking in and out dogs.
  • Performing front desk administrative duties including data entry, computer maintenance, and phone calls.
  • Filing and updating client information.
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments and reservations.
  • Promoting and selling baths, daycare, boarding packages, and training sessions.
  • Cleaning throughout front and back areas of the facility.
  • Maintaining a safe environment for all pets and staff.
  • Providing excellent customer service to pet parents and their dogs.
  • Being active and attentive to dogs and pet parents at all times.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years or older.
  • Ability to lift dog food and supplies.
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service.
