About the position

The Front Desk / Medical Assistant position at Harmony Healthcare is a full-time role that combines administrative and clinical responsibilities. Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with check-in and check-out processes
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
• Verify patient information and insurance details, collect co-pays
• Maintain patient records and ensure proper filing and confidentiality
• Perform general office duties such as handling mail, faxing, and inventory management
• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history
• Assist healthcare providers with examinations and minor procedures as needed
• Manage patient flow by preparing exam rooms and restocking supplies
• Provide patients with post-care instructions and answer basic healthcare questions
• Follow clinic protocols to maintain a clean, safe, and sterile environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting or front desk role is highly desirable
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in using computers and healthcare software systems

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with EMR systems (1 year preferred)
• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Experience in taking vital signs (1 year preferred)
