The Front Desk Medical Receptionist at Centrum Health plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the medical clinic. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing essential administrative support and managing tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The role requires exceptional organizational abilities, empathy, and a commitment to patient care, contributing to a seamless and consumer-centric healthcare experience.

  • Check patients in and out.
  • Use various computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Update and file patient medical records.
  • Verify insurance and obtain consent forms.
  • Return patients' phone calls daily and timely.
  • Answer and route phone calls accurately and greet patients.
  • Follow organizational policies on safety and security; maintain restricted areas by safeguarding keyless entry codes and computer system passwords.
  • Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.
  • Maintain office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders.
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned.
  • High school or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience as a receptionist.
  • Bilingual (English and another language preferred dependent on location).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy.
