About the position

The Front Desk/Night Auditor at Hampton Inn by Hilton Brighton is responsible for managing all receptionist and clerical duties at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role is crucial in providing excellent customer service and maintaining the hotel's operational efficiency during the night shift.

Responsibilities

  • Keep front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper etc.)
  • Greet guests and welcome them to the hotel
  • Answer questions, address complaints, and give information about the hotel and surrounding area as requested
  • Answer and handle all incoming calls
  • Accept and sign the delivery of letters, packages etc. and distribute them either personally or through an interoffice dispatching system
  • Prepare outgoing mail by drafting correspondence, securing parcels etc.
  • Check, sort and forward e-mails
  • Monitor office supplies stock and place orders when necessary
  • Keep updated records and files and maintain financial sheets with office expenses and costs
  • Take up other duties as assigned (travel arrangements, appointment schedules etc.)

Requirements

  • Proven experience as front desk representative or agent or relevant position
  • Hilton experience highly preferred
  • Familiarity with the use of office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management and basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Good problem-solving skills
