About the position

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and efficient Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic team at Dental Rivera in Pico Rivera, CA. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and will handle various administrative tasks to support our dental practice. This position requires at least 2 years of experience as a dental front desk receptionist, with knowledge of Open Dental being a bonus. Spanish speaking is mandatory for this role, as effective communication with our diverse patient base is essential. As a Dental Front Desk Receptionist, you will greet patients as they enter the office, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable. You will manage the patient check-in and check-out processes, answer and direct incoming calls, and provide information and assistance as needed. Scheduling and confirming patient appointments, as well as addressing inquiries regarding appointments, treatments, and billing, will be key responsibilities in this role. In addition to patient interaction, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, verifying and processing insurance information, and collecting payments. You will also prepare and send out billing statements and handle correspondence in a timely and professional manner. Maintaining a clean and organized front desk and reception area, ordering and managing office supplies, and coordinating with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow will be part of your office management duties. Utilizing dental practice management software to manage patient records, appointments, and billing is crucial, and you will need to ensure data privacy and security in compliance with HIPAA regulations. This position typically requires long periods of sitting and working at a computer, with interaction with patients and dental staff in a busy office environment. Occasional lifting of office supplies or materials may also be required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients as they enter the office and make them feel welcome.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, providing information and assistance.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a dental front desk receptionist.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in office administration or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software (Open Dental is a plus) is an advantage.
