About the position

We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist for our Senior Center. This position is crucial in providing a welcoming environment for our senior community members and their families. The Front Desk Receptionist will be the first point of contact for visitors and will handle various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the center. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering phone calls, managing appointments, and assisting with inquiries about our services and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain the calendar for the center.
  • Provide information about services and programs offered at the Senior Center.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a senior care or healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with office management software and phone systems.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
