About the position

The West Vancouver Massage Envy location is seeking a Front Desk Associate to join our friendly and dedicated team. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and relaxed environment for both our clients and staff. As a Front Desk Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our members and guests receive exceptional service from the moment they walk through our doors. Your primary responsibilities will include promoting our Wellness Program, managing appointment schedules, and providing support to our team and clients. We are looking for someone who is confident in guest interactions and has a passion for sales and customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for answering phone calls, checking members and guests in and out for their appointments, and greeting them upon arrival. It is essential to keep management informed of any member concerns and to adhere to the policies and procedures set forth by the management team. You will also be expected to accept constructive criticism positively and use it as a tool for personal and professional growth. Upholding the core values of the Massage Envy brand—optimism, gratitude, excellence, consistency, and empathy—is vital to our mission. Additionally, you will need to stay updated on our retail products and promotions, recognize and support team goals, and foster positive relationships with your colleagues. This position is part-time, with expected hours ranging from 20 to 35 hours per week, and offers a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting and selling the Wellness Program.
  • Answering phone calls.
  • Setting and checking members and guests in and out for appointments.
  • Greeting members and guests upon arrival.
  • Keeping management apprised of member concerns and following manager's policies, procedures, and direction.
  • Accepting constructive criticism in a positive manner and using it as a learning tool.
  • Upholding the Massage Envy brand's core values of optimism, gratitude, excellence, consistency, and empathy.
  • Staying updated on retail products and promotions.
  • Recognizing and supporting team goals and creating and maintaining positive relationships with team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 1 year of customer service experience.
  • 1 year of sales experience (preferred).
  • 1 year of administrative experience (preferred).
  • Basic math and cash handling experience.
  • Strong phone and computer skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
  • Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous customer service experience (preferred).
