About the position

Sinclair Broadcast Group is seeking a friendly and customer service-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and employees at our headquarters. This in-office position requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. The Front Desk Receptionist will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, ensuring that every visitor feels welcomed and valued. In this role, you will serve as the face of the company, greeting guests with professionalism and warmth. You will be responsible for checking in and checking out visitors, maintaining a clean and organized reception and lobby area, and notifying employees of guest arrivals. Additionally, you will handle a high volume of calls from a multi-line phone system, connecting callers to the appropriate departments and troubleshooting any non-routine complaints. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you sort and distribute corporate mail, apply postage to outgoing mail, and create UPS Air bills as needed. You will also assist with special projects and order supplies to keep the breakroom stocked. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the face of the company, offering friendly and professional greeting to those entering the building or calling in on the phone
  • Check in and check out visitors
  • Maintain the Reception and Lobby area, keeping it clean and free of clutter
  • Notify employees of guest arrivals
  • Answer a high-volume of calls from a multi-line phone system and connect callers to the appropriate person / department
  • Observe video monitors to watch for deliveries and ensure the safety of the building/parking lot
  • Sort and distribute corporate mail daily
  • Apply postage to outgoing mail
  • Create UPS Air bills for employees as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve non-routine caller complaints
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Order supplies and stock the breakroom as needed

Requirements

  • At least 2 -5 years of administrative experience
  • Previous experience in a receptionist role is preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Professional and dependable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft Office suites is required
