Front Desk Receptionist

About the position

The Front Desk Receptionist at America's Best plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations within the store. This position involves greeting customers, managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a tidy reception area. The receptionist serves as the first point of contact for customers, contributing to a positive experience while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality customer service while following all safety protocols.
• Ensure a smooth flow of customers through the store.
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls in accordance with National Vision protocol.
• Process and understand managed care plans while obtaining document information from the insurance company as needed.
• Provide customers with basic and accurate information.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, follow-up visits, and classes.
• File all patient records daily and pull patient files for the next day's appointments.
• Check order status and notify customers when orders are in or of any delays.
• Keep the reception area tidy and presentable with all necessary materials.
• Receive, sort, distribute daily mail/deliveries and maintain inventory of office supplies.
• Participate in regularly scheduled mandatory communication meetings.

Requirements

• Experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role preferred but not required.
• 0-2 years related experience or training preferred.
• Experience handling multiple phone lines preferred.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
