About the position

The Front Desk Receptionist at Canine & Co. Dog Resort plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment for both clients and their dogs. This part-time position requires a passionate dog lover who can manage various administrative tasks while maintaining high standards of hospitality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide impeccable customer service to clients and their dogs.
• Answer all incoming calls and respond to voicemails, emails, and texts.
• Make boarding reservations and daycare reservations.
• Check in and check out guests following established processes.
• Manage cash and credit card transactions, including reporting and reconciling.
• Interact closely with other staff and management to address client and dog needs.
• Obtain vaccination records and input them into the computer.
• Print daily reports and prepare for the next business day.
• Ensure the facility meets cleanliness and safety expectations.
• Notify management when office supplies are low.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas and employee spaces.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience as a Front Desk Receptionist required.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multi-line phone systems and appointment scheduling.
• Ability to work under conditions requiring sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable with own transportation.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous administrative experience is a plus.
• Experience in a pet care or dog-related environment.
