About the position

As the face of our stores, Receptionists at America's Best are responsible for greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly manner as soon as they arrive at the store. This role is crucial in ensuring that customers feel valued and attended to from the moment they step through the door. Receptionists keep organized patient records and help patient schedules flow smoothly, acting as the glue to our operations and helping everyone to stay on track. The role provides prompt, courteous service to customers either on the phone or in person, ensuring a high-quality customer experience while adhering to all safety protocols. Receptionists ensure a smooth flow of customers through the store, managing the reception area to keep it tidy and presentable with all necessary materials. They are responsible for answering, screening, and forwarding incoming phone calls in accordance with National Vision protocol. Additionally, they process and understand managed care plans while obtaining document information from the insurance company as needed. This position also involves scheduling and confirming appointments, follow-up visits, and classes, as well as filing all patient records daily and pulling patient files for the next day's appointments. In this role, Receptionists check order status and notify customers when orders are in or if there are any delays. They also receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries, maintaining an inventory of office supplies. Participation in regularly scheduled mandatory communication meetings is also required, ensuring that all team members are aligned and informed about store operations and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role preferred but not required.
  • 0-2 years related experience or training preferred.
  • Experience handling multiple phone lines preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
