About the position

The Front Desk Receptionist at the Speech Improvement Center is a full-time role responsible for being the first point of contact for clients and visitors. This position requires a vibrant and motivated individual who can multitask effectively while maintaining a strong attention to detail. The receptionist will assist in managing the front desk operations, providing excellent customer service, and supporting administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the office.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department
  • Schedule appointments and manage the front desk calendar
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and organizing documents
  • Provide excellent customer support and address inquiries or concerns promptly
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Assign appropriate providers to each child
  • Initial entry of accurate child records in database
  • Verifying commercial insurance coverage and benefits

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 years of customer service experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong customer service, organization, prioritizing, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to meet challenging goals and deadlines
