About the position

The Center for Emotional Health is a growing private psychiatry office with over 45 locations, dedicated to providing quality outpatient behavioral health services. As the Front Desk Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience by delivering exceptional customer service to patients, Physician Assistants, Licensed Therapists, and other support staff. Your interactions will be both over the phone and in person, ensuring that every patient feels welcomed and supported during their visit. In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating and organizing appointments and documentation, which is essential for the smooth operation of the medical environment. Your efforts will directly support the delivery of quality patient care, making your role vital to the overall success of the practice. The demand for treatment for behavioral health issues is on the rise, and as part of our team, you will contribute to meeting this need through your administrative and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with at least one year of recent administrative or clerical experience, and one year of customer service experience. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, as is proficiency in handling multi-line phones and cash transactions. Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications, are necessary to manage the various tasks associated with this role. You will also need to demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and a keen attention to detail, as these will be essential in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff through phone and in-person interactions.
  • Coordinate and organize appointments and documentation to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support the delivery of quality patient care in a medical environment.
  • Administer light clinical duties, including collecting and documenting vitals and administering UDTs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of recent administrative/clerical experience.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Multi-line phone experience.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
