The Front Desk Receptionist at La Quinta Inns & Suites is a crucial role responsible for providing exceptional guest service and supporting various hotel operations during the night shift. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle late-night check-ins, reservations, and other front desk duties while ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, handling reservations and payments with accuracy.
  • Address guest inquiries and provide excellent customer service throughout the night.
  • Handle phone calls, including taking reservations, answering questions, and directing calls as needed.
  • Perform nightly financial audits to balance daily revenues and reconcile guest accounts.
  • Monitor hotel safety and security, conducting regular property checks during overnight hours.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning the lobby and common areas, and supporting laundry duties as needed.
  • Prepare breakfast items for the morning shift to ensure a smooth transition for guests.
  • Generate and distribute nightly reports for management, summarizing the hotel's financial and operational activities.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hotel front desk or customer service roles is preferred.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills with the ability to handle varied responsibilities during the night shift.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Synxis PMS) is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently, especially during quiet hours of the night.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform light cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Must be available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
