About the position

The Front Desk Receptionist at America's Best plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the store. This part-time position involves greeting customers, managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a tidy reception area. The receptionist is the first point of contact for customers, ensuring they receive prompt and courteous service both in person and over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers in a friendly manner.
• Ensure high quality customer service while following safety protocols.
• Manage the flow of customers through the store.
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls according to National Vision protocol.
• Process managed care plans and obtain necessary documentation from insurance companies.
• Provide customers with basic and accurate information.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, follow-up visits, and classes.
• File patient records daily and prepare files for the next day's appointments.
• Check order status and notify customers of any delays.
• Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area with necessary materials.
• Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries, and maintain inventory of office supplies.
• Participate in regularly scheduled mandatory communication meetings.

Requirements

• Experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role preferred but not required.
• 0-2 years related experience or training preferred.
• Experience handling multiple phone lines preferred.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Must have open availability.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
