About the position

The Cliff Lodge Front Desk Supervisor at Snowbird is responsible for overseeing the front desk operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and managing front desk staff. This role involves coordinating with various departments, resolving guest issues, and maintaining high service standards while performing front desk tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall operation of the Front Desk.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of other department heads or managers.
  • Perform front desk tasks as needed.
  • Communicate with management and other departments.
  • Keep Front Desk staff informed and updated on rules and procedures.
  • Resolve guest or owner situations and answer inquiries.
  • Review staff folios to ensure correct charges.
  • Monitor room blocking for accuracy and maximum occupancy.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies.
  • Provide outstanding guest and owner service.
  • Check in and check out guests efficiently and courteously.
  • Log shifts into the after-hours reservation line and book reservations.
  • Coordinate accounting and billing needs with other departments.
  • Resolve guest concerns in a timely manner.
  • Answer telephones and coordinate guest requests with the correct department.
  • Train front desk staff continuously.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrate competency in reading, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Requires six months of training in the hospitality industry.
  • One year of hotel/hospitality work experience or six months of front desk experience with demonstrated competence.
  • One year of supervisory experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with Word, Outlook, and SMS Host preferred.
