About the position

The Front Desk Supervisor at The National is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service in a fast-paced hotel environment. This role involves managing front desk operations, training staff, and addressing guest inquiries and issues to maximize satisfaction. The supervisor will also handle administrative tasks related to guest check-ins and check-outs, maintain knowledge of hotel services, and ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Register guests efficiently and pleasantly upon arrival.
  • Set up accurate accounts for each guest according to their preferences.
  • Accommodate room changes expediently.
  • Train and develop Front Desk Agents' knowledge and skills.
  • Assist guests with inquiries about city attractions and events.
  • Resolve guest issues and respond to special requests.
  • Process guest accounts upon check-out and handle payments accurately.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all guests and hotel information.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years' hotel or relevant hospitality experience.
  • Hospitality degree from an accredited university is preferred.
  • Strong customer-relation skills and commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Previous cashier experience and basic accounting skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Marriott experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of OPERA or Lightspeed systems is a plus.
