Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls and greet walk-in customers.
- Manage the customer service area.
- Screen referrals and schedule appointments for appropriate services.
- Complete financial eligibility and administrative tasks as requested.
- Collect, review, and prepare documentation for daily billing and census.
- Assist visitors in connecting with the appropriate staff person.
- Check TMHP (Medicaid) portal daily for client coverage.
- Take and relay messages accurately and professionally.
- Complete daily reminder calls for next day appointments.
- Prepare intake packets and files for new clients.
- Review accountability documentation daily.
- Schedule new screening and intake appointments and future appointments for clients.
- Assist in prescreening calls for potential clients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One or two years of experience in a medical office is preferred.
- Experience with calling Medicaid/Medicare and Private Insurance Companies to verify benefits.
