About the position

The Front End Accessibility Developer will focus on remediating accessibility issues across two projects, addressing approximately 700 identified bugs. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with accessibility standards, specifically AODA 2.0 AA, within secure pages on Investorline. The position requires a hybrid work model, with mandatory in-office days to facilitate collaboration and project progress.

Responsibilities

• Remediate accessibility bugs identified in two different projects.
• Ensure compliance with AODA 2.0 AA standards.
• Collaborate with team members to address accessibility issues on secure pages.
• Utilize testing tools such as NVDA and Jaws for accessibility testing.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of professional experience in front-end development.
• Proficiency in Angular (version 16 or 17).
• Experience with Git for version control.
• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with accessibility standards and compliance, specifically AODA 2.0 AA.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with screen readers such as NVDA or Jaws.
• Experience testing accessibility on different devices (Apple vs Android).
