About the position
The Front End Department Supervisor at Lowe's is responsible for leading a team of associates to ensure a superior customer experience in the store. This role involves coaching, training, and managing performance while collaborating with other supervisors and managers to meet operational and safety objectives. The supervisor will also conduct safety walks, report hazards, and may occasionally open or close the store.
Responsibilities
- Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver excellent customer service.
- Coach and train associates on store operations and safety protocols.
- Monitor and ensure adequate department coverage and stock levels.
- Collaborate with front-end and back-end operations associates.
- Conduct safety walks and report hazards to maintain a safe store environment.
- Communicate with management regarding concerns, issues, and staff morale.
- Occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in a retail environment or 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Experience providing direction or supervision to teams.
- Experience in training, mentoring, and developing associates.
- Experience working cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain sales-related licensure as required by law.
