About the position

The Front End Department Supervisor at Lowe's is responsible for leading a team of associates to ensure a superior customer experience in the store. This role involves coaching, training, and managing performance while overseeing non-selling operations at the front end. The supervisor collaborates with other department supervisors and assistant store managers to meet service, operations, and safety objectives, while also conducting safety walks and monitoring staff compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Coach and train associates on best practices and operational efficiency.
• Delegate tasks and follow up on daily responsibilities to ensure performance.
• Monitor the use of store power equipment and coach employees on safe behaviors.
• Conduct safety walks and report hazards to maintain a safe store environment.
• Collaborate with other department supervisors and assistant store managers to meet operational goals.
• Occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams.
• Experience in training, mentoring, and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally in a retail setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure as required by law.
