Front End Department Supervisor

About the position

The Front End Department Supervisor at Lowe's is responsible for leading a team of associates to ensure a superior customer experience in the store. This role involves coaching and training staff, managing performance, and overseeing daily operations at the front end of the store. The supervisor collaborates with other department supervisors and assistant store managers to meet service, operations, and safety objectives, while also conducting safety walks and monitoring store equipment usage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Coach and train associates on effective store operations and safety practices.
• Monitor and manage performance of front-end operations staff.
• Collaborate with other department supervisors and assistant store managers to optimize service and operations.
• Conduct safety walks and report hazards to maintain a safe store environment.
• Open or close the store and serve as manager-on-duty as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams.
• Experience in training, mentoring, and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally in a retail setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure as required by law.
